Many thanks to the editor and publishers of Bonsai Europe,  which is now Bonsai Focus.  I first came into contact with them in Japan when Farrand Bloch visited Shunkaen and took pictures of the tokonoma displays we had at the time. I subsequently began to write articles describing the display which were published during 2006/7.   A new set of photographs and two photoshoots were taken  earlier this year which will be published in the coming issues.  I recently visited the studio in Holland and the results of my work there will be published soon.
