I offer a fully
comprehensive Bonsai
service, aimed at all ranges of ability from beginner to the highly
advanced. I can provide anything bonsai related from garden
design to all forms of maintenance and tree design. Prepared to
travel anywhere in the world, I have customers all
across Europe and the US and can travel on short notice to do
workshops, lectures, work
on private collections or provide advice and support. Travel
costs will be included in any fee charged and they can be spread over a
number of customers or clubs in the same area or country.

Education is one
of my main objectives, I have spent four years doing
what for many Bonsai enthusiasts is an impossible dream. I
was lucky to be young and irresponsible enough to be able to spend a
long
time away from family and financial responsibilities studying under one
of the most well known masters in Japan. I am now in a
position to pass on the knowledge and experience I gained to students
who are
willing and passionate to take Bonsai to a new level of understanding
and excellence. I am available to give demonstrations, workshops or
talks to clubs, organizations or individuals.

I
have
experience of giving workshops to students of all nationalities
and abilities and I have been a senior apprentice to many European
students who stayed with me at Shunkaen. In the short period
of
time I instructed them, everybody improved their technical ability as
well as having a deeper understanding of the fundamental principles of
bonsai.
One of my best students, Sato-san is pictured to the left,
living
proof that if you work hard and listen to good advice then you can
improve your bonsai skills in a very short period of time.
It is important to build up a personal long term relationship between teacher and student as Bonsai is not something which can be completed in an afternoon workshop. Making a tree is not a one off activity but a cumulative one which needs years to develop. I would very much like to develop long relationships with commited individuals and groups who share the same objectives as me and we can improve together. |
