Sajigawa Mizu-Tamari Ishi
$ 250
20 x 8.5 x 13 cm
A powerful and deeply coloured waterpool stone, this is an easy to display and memorable stone. Found in the famous Sajigawa river in Tottori prefecture, it is a classical mizu-tamari stone. Resembling a deep pool carved out by the natural force of water, the stone really comes alive when placed in a suiban and filled with water.
The stone itself has a hint of blue green, combined with white specks and seams running through it. As you can see, it is clearly a stone designed to be displayed in a suiban. The deep namako glazed oval suiban is a perfect fit for it and is available as a set for an extra $150. Sand is not included but can be for a small extra fee.
